The Sydney mint specimen strikes of 1926 were produced during the final months of the Sydney mint . The mintage of the issue is unknown but considering the mintages of the earlier Sydney mint specimen strikes, it is unlikely that more than 10 examples were produced. The specimen strike can be identified by an intensely sharp strike, atypical of the Sydney mint strikes of 1926 though one must be careful not to confuse the coin with a Melbourne mint business strike which were typically quite well struck up. The specimen strike has even surfaces paired with very subtle bloom though one must almost be careful not to confuse this with a dulled business strike.
