A uniface, 1937 crown was auctioned off on the 18th of October 2006 by Spink in London ex the collection of Jerome Remick (Wikipedia, 2009) and was offered again in March 2007 at IAG Auction 65 estimated at $55,000 - $60,000 however did not sell (IAG Auctions, 2007) . The purpose of this coin is unknown, only one example having only recently surfaced, it is perhaps an early trial striking similar to the other uniface patterns of 1937 intended to display designs for the eventual 1937 Crown ( ). A standard proof issue was also struck at the Melbourne mint -. (IAG Auctions, 2007)
