In 1941 the Australian Penny was struck at both the Melbourne and Perth branches of the Royal Mint. There is one Melbourne Mint variety which features no mint-mark and two Perth Mint varieties; one with a small dot located after the 'Y' in Penny and another with a small dot between the initials of the design 'K.G.' The 1941 K.G. penny was struck to an unknown mintage number that is included within the 12,794,000 1941-Y pieces.
