The 1959 half penny is the only Elizabeth II half penny that is readily available in a golden red mint state. The rest of the series, struck at the Perth mint, at best come a salmon mint and are almost always plagued by die faults reducing typical gradings. A number of 1959 rolls have turned up ensuring an abundance of mint state examples.
